Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan, the Savages rhythm section, have started a new side-project called 180dB. Their debut single, “Road Trip,” features Perfect Pussy vocalist Meredith Graves and Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner. Check out the Milton-directed video below.
The seeds for “Road Trip” were planted when Milton met Goldie at a political rally last year, according to a press release. The British DJ played her his then-unreleased Skepta collaboration “Upstart (Road Trip)” and told her he wanted to hear a “raging punk” version of the song. Milton took on the challenge, with Graves penning her own verses to replace Skepta’s. 180dB are currently working on an album slated for release in early 2019.
