MINIATURES-MORGAN FISHER

Apresentando artistas tão diversos como The Residents, Robert Fripp, XTC s Andy Partridge, Pete Seeger, Robert Wyatt, Martin Chambers -The Pretenders, Ivor Cutler, Moondog entre outros, e com a contribuição no trabalho artistico de Ralph Steadman, Morgan Fisher realizou uma obra prima em 1980 «Miniatures». Sobrecarregado de potenciais conceitos para lançamento, Fisher decide desafiar as suas idéias,ver se é possivel espremer tudo para apenas um álbum. Convidou 50 músicos que ele admirava, a enviar faixas até um minuto de comprimento. Eles responderam com um entusiasmo unânime, e Miniatures nasceu, fornecendo uma fotografia da música de vanguarda de um período lendário entre aqueles que defendiam essa criatividade e individualidade no processo musical. O projecto levaria seis anos para concluir, envolveu um elenco internacional com musicos de 18 países e cinco continentes, cento e treze faixas (sim, 113!) e reúne mais de 60 músicos e artistas de todos os gêneros - o bizarro, o excêntrico, o contemplativo, o rebelde, os pioneiros e os filósofos.Tal como acontece com o álbum original, as criações de um minuto foram compostas, sequenciadas e editadas por Morgan. Passado quinze anos nasceu «Miniatures 2»
