Harvey, Paul Weller, Peter Gabriel, The Prodigy, Public Enemy, Radiohead e Status Quo, entre centenas de outras.Desde o seu início é o favorito dos fãs de música e continua a atrair o maior e melhor do rock de todo o mundo desde 1971. Até 1990 Reading tinha vindo a ser um festival mais virado para as sonoridades um pouco pesadas. Gostava de ter vindo um ano antes em 1989, só para ver os New Order, Swans, Spacemen 3, e os Buthole Surfers (morria, ficava por lá..). Mas 1990 foi o ano da mudança do festival que estava tentando se reinventar num apelo a uma multidão mais indie. Nós pagamos pelo bilhete em torno de £ 90.00 para os três dias (já era algum dinheiro..).
